The United States has started granting Nvidia Corp. licenses to export its H20 chips to China directly after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (pictured) met with US President Donald Trump at the White House, where he lobbied for the sales.

Sources told the Financial Times that the US Bureau of Industry and Security began issuing the licenses two days after Huang's latest Oval Office meeting. The unnamed US official said the bureau, which oversees export controls, had already begun processing the licenses for the chip, which Nvidia designed specifically for the Chinese market.
