US announces another $400M in aid for Ukraine

United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced on Monday a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $400 million, including weapons, ammunition and military equipment. Austin arrived in Kiev earlier today for his fourth visit since taking office.

Ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Austin said they will discuss strengthening the bilateral strategic partnership, among other issues. According to the Pentagon, he will also meet with other senior Ukrainian officials and reassert the administration's commitment to providing Ukraine with the security assistance needed to defend against Russia.
