Major stock markets in the United States closed Friday's session higher after nonfarm payrolls in June, came a bit higher than estimates and lower than May's revised figure, seemingly lighting up hopes for loosening in the monetary policy. Both Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 indexes closed again reaching new all-time highs.
The Nasdaq 100 went 1.02% up, reaching the 20,391 benchmark as ARM Holdings surged 7.70%. The S&P 500 gained 0.54%, hitting a new closing record close of 5,567 points with Meta climbing 5.87%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 0.17% with Walmart Inc. jumping 2.64%.
The euro was 0.26% higher against the dollar at 3:58 pm ET, to sell for $1.08410.
