United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on Thursday that the Departments of State and the Treasury have introduced sanctions on over 150 individuals and entities over engaging in "evasion and circumvention" of measures against Russia, helping its ability to "wage war" in Ukraine and bolster its energy production.
In particular, the US State Department is imposing sanctions on more than 70 organizations and people "involved in expanding Russia's energy production and export capacity, operating in the Russian metals and mining sectors, and assisting in circumventing international sanctions," the press release said.
Among those targeted by the measures are two Turkey-based Companies of transportation of supplies of materials for producing military UAVs and tools, as well as, Finland-based logistics companies Siberica Oy and Luminor Oy, and French and Estonian citizens that are members of Siberca's board.
