The United States denied involvement in Israeli airstrikes on Al-Hudaydah in western Yemen on Saturday, a White House National Security Council spokesperson told Fox News.
The spokesperson clarified that Washington has been in "regular" and "ongoing" contact with Israel following the deadly drone attack that killed an Israeli civilian in Tel Aviv, but added that the United States did not "coordinate" nor "assist" Israel with the attack on Yemen. United States President Joe Biden has also been briefed on the developments in the Middle East, Voice of America's (VOA) Steve Herman reported separately.
Earlier, unanimous sources speaking to Al Arabiya shared that the Israeli Defense Forces carried out airstrikes in coordination with the United States and the United Kingdom.
