The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said that its forces destroyed three Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed surface vessels (USV) in the Red Sea over the past day.
"It was determined these systems presented an imminent threat to U.S., coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region," CENTCOM said in the statement.
Separately, the Houthis are said to have launched three anti-ship ballistic missiles from a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen into the Gulf of Aiden. "There were no injuries or significant damage reported by U.S., coalition, or merchant vessels," the command added.
