The United States intercepted and shot down an anti-ship ballistic missile fired by the Yemen-based Houthis, as well as three Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the United States Central Command reported in a social media post.
The Houthi missile was fired toward the Gulf of Aden and was promptly intercepted and shot down by the USS Carney, with the vessel engaging three Iranian UAVs "in its vicinity" shortly after.
No damage or injuries were reported.
