US expands sanctions list related to Iran

The United States Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued new sanctions related to Iran on Friday, according to a post on its website.

Among the sanctioned are 10 individuals and 27 entities. Apart from Iranian nationals and businesses, some entities in Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates were targeted with the latest move.

Washington and Tehran are still holding negotiations about the nuclear program, with an agreement yet to be reached.
