US extends gains, Dow surges over 1,000 points

Major stock indexes on Wall Street continued to go up on Tuesday, rebounding from yesterday's slump, as investors awaited earnings reports from big tech companies, with Alphabet, Intel, and Tesla all to release their financial prints this week. Earlier in the day, a slew of other United States companies posted their quarterly figures, with the majority reporting an uptick in their revenue and sales.

Meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that he believes the US-China trade tensions will de-escalate at some point, according to Bloomberg sources. He also added that an agreement could be possible.

The Dow Jones skyrocketed 2.75% or 1,047 points at 12:02 pm ET. Simultaneously, the Nasdaq 100 soared 2.85% or 510 points and the S&P 500 shot up 2.68%.

The euro lost 0.54% against the dollar at 12:03 pm ET, going for 1.14550
