US given heads up shortly before Israel's strikes on Iran started

The White House was notified "shortly before" Israel began striking targets in Iran on Friday night, officials told Fox News.

According to Fox, United States President Joe Biden is currently in Wilmington, Delaware, and is not planning to return to Washington at the present time.

Concurrently, US National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett called the Israeli strikes "an exercise of self-defense."
