US equity markets opened higher on Friday as investors continue to ponder what the US Federal Reserve's next move may be following its latest decision to pause rate hikes.
Previously, Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said the central bank would not retreat from its mission to curb inflation. Meanwhile, Adobe added more than 4% in premarket after its latest earnings report, and Virgin Galactic announced yesterday that it plans to launch its commercial space tourism service this month.
The Dow Jones gained 0.29% at 9:30 am ET, with Nike rising 1.70%. The Nasdaq 100 added 0.55%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.42%. Adobe was leading the gains in both indexes, improving by 4.82%.
On the currency front, the euro improved by 0.08% against the dollar at 9:27 am ET, selling for $1.09540.
