The United States Department of Commerce announced on Thursday that it will introduce preliminary anti-dumping duties on tin mill products from Canada, Germany and China.
The department said it will propose duties of 122.5% on Chinese imports of tin-plated steel used in cans, 7.02%$ on imports from Germany and 5.29% on Canadian imports, and noted tin-plated steel imported from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey will not be subject to anti-dumping duties.
The Commerce Department stressed it is also conducting a parallel countervailing duty (CVD) investigation on imports of tin mill products from China.
