Major stocks on Wall Street saw significant gains at the start of Wednesday's premarket session as investors awaited the latest interest rate decision from the Federal Reserve set to be announced later today. The premarket trading will also be marked by the release of the February retail sales data.
The Dow Jones jumped 0.64% or 214 points at 4:06 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 1.26% or 169 points and the S&P 500 rose by 0.79%. The euro stood slightly higher against the dollar at the same time to sell for 1.09634.
