Equities in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Thursday ahead of the newest update on the initial jobless claims and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech on the current state of the country's economy. Earlier, the Fed released its newest Beige Book, in which it said that "[t]he outlook for future economic growth remained generally weak."
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.10% at 4:15 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.19%. The S&P 50 went down by 0.17%.
The euro lost 0.15% to the dollar to sell for $0.99907 at 4:16 am ET.
