US lower premarket ahead of data

Major stock indexes in the United States traded lower ahead of the opening bell on Wednesday as investors awaited a fresh batch of economic data. Monthly reports on retail sales, industrial production and business inventories are scheduled for release throughout the day, as well as the weekly mortgage application figures.

The Dow Jones lost 0.45% at 4:17 am ET, the Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.80%, and the S&P 500 decreased by 0.57%.

The euro traded flat against the dollar at 4:18 am ET, going for 1.08679.
