US lower premarket amid policy, politics talks

Major stock indexes on Wall Street traded flat to lower in the premarket on Tuesday as investors tried to make sense of the latest happenings and see how the most recent comments coming from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, alongside the attempted assassination of former United States President Donald Trump, could affect the future course of the country's economy and elections.

The Dow Jones lost 0.12% at 4:10 am ET. Simultaneously, the Nasdaq 100 declined 0.16%, while the S&P 500 dipped 0.13%. At 4:11 am ET, the euro stood flat against the dollar, going for 1.08983.
