US markets mostly green after Twitter announcement

Major stock indexes in the United States traded mostly higher after Twitter announced on Monday that Elon Musk had agreed to acquire the company for $44 billion or $54.20 per share in cash.

The Dow Jones gained 0.15% at 2:59 pm ET, while the Nasdaq 100 added 0.62%. The S&P 500 was flat at that time but eventually dipped after three minutes, dropping 0.25% at 3:03 pm ET.
