The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Friday that Houthi rebels launched an anti-ship ballistic missile toward a US warship in the Red Sea.
"On Jan. 26, at approximately 1:30 p.m. (Sanaa time), Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired one anti-ship ballistic missile from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen toward Arleigh-Burke class destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in the Gulf of Aden," the CENTCOM said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The military added that the USS Carney successfully shot down the missile and that the attack caused no damage or injuries.
