US mostly higher in premarket with eyes on Fed

Major Wall Street stock markets traded mostly higher during premarket hours on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's latest monetary policy decision, which will be revealed later today. Investors also anticipated the reports on mortgage applications and the number of new single-family homes and buildings constructed in the United States in November.

The Dow Jones Industrial rose by 0.11% at 4:30 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 was flat. A minute later, the S&P 500 climbed by 0.10%.

The euro gained 0.06% against the dollar and sold for $1.04949 at 4:29 am ET.
