US mostly lower in premarket ahead of economic updates

Equities in the United States traded mostly lower in the premarket on Tuesday ahead of the newest reports on the country's housing starts and industrial production. President Joe Biden is also expected to sign the Inflation Reduction Act into law.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average stood flat at 4:17 am ET. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.17%. The S&P 500 decreased by 0.18% at 4:18 am ET.

The euro lost 0.16% to the dollar at 4:19 am ET to sell for $1.01447.
