Sales of new single‐family houses came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 739,000 in July, the United States Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development shared in a report released on Friday.
The median sales price for new homes in July was $429,800, with an average price of $514,800.
The inventory of new homes for sale stood at 462,000 units, representing a 7.5-month supply at the current sales pace.
