The United States Department of Defense announced Thursday a new military assistance package to Ukraine worth $2.5 billion.
The package includes 59 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 90 Stryker Armored Fighting Vehicles, 53 MRAPs, 8 Avenger Air Defense Systems, 350 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV, also known as Humvee), and tactical air-to-surface anti-radiation missiles, AGM-88 HARM.
The package has been approved amid a renewed diplomatic effort by Kiev and its allies to send more aid and military equipment to the front line.
