US oil inventories fall by 448,000 barrels - report

United States crude inventories decreased by 448,000 barrels in the week ending August 12, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Tuesday. The decline was bigger than analysts had expected.

Reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, were allegedly up by 250,000 barrels. Gasoline stockpiles fell by 4.480 million barrels, while distillate inventories dropped by 759,000 barrels, according to the reported data.
