US oil inventories reportedly down by 5.25M barrels

Crude oil inventories in the United States declined by 5.25 million barrels last week, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, reserves in the industry hub in Cushing, Oklahoma, fell by 2.56 million barrels. Gasoline stockpiles increased by 732,000 barrels, while distillate inventories dropped by 258,000 barrels, according to the reported data.
