Crude oil inventories in the United States declined by 6.5 million barrels in the week that ended May 24, private data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) reportedly showed on Wednesday.
During the reported week, gasoline stockpiles dropped by 452,000 barrels, while reserves in Cushing, Oklahoma, allegedly fell by 1.7 million barrels. Meanwhile, distillate inventories are said to have increased by 2 million barrels.
