United States stock indexes began Wednesday's session on a positive note, partially rebounding from the previous day's decline, but reducing the gains from premarket as investors analyzed the most recent data on durable goods and mortgage applications. Furthermore, stockholders are eagerly anticipating tomorrow's release of the final estimate for second-quarter economic growth in the country.
At the opening, the Dow Jones gained 0.20%. The best performer was Amgen, whose shares increased 1.62%. The Nasdaq 100 added 0.43%, with DexCom climbing 2.93%. At the same time, the S&P 500 rose 0.33%, as ResMed Inc soared 3.55% a minute later.
The euro was down by 0.35% against the dollar at 9:29 am ET, selling for $1.05341.
