Wall Street opened lower on Friday as investors still analyzed the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. Meanwhile, Fed officials warned of uncertainty amid volatile trade policies and rising inflation expectations.
The Dow Jones plummeted 1% or 464 points at 9:32 am ET, with IBM Corp. down 0.64%. The Nasdaq 100 lost 1.26% or 240 points, led by Microchip Technology Inc., which declined by 1.46%. The S&P 500 dropped 0.77% as FedEx Corp. sank 11.18%.
The euro traded 0.21% lower against the dollar and went for 1.08304 at 9:34 am ET.
