US plans more deportations to El Salvador mega prison

The United States plans to send more immigrants with criminal records to El Salvador's mega prison, using a wartime deportation law recently upheld by the Supreme Court, CNN reported, citing two officials familiar with the matter.

The officials said the Trump administration aims to expand removals under the Alien Enemies Act and use El Salvador's Cecot prison to hold deportees. Cecot prison to hold deportees.
