The United States Producer Price Index (PPI) for final demand on a seasonally adjusted basis was unchanged in February compared to the month prior, the report published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday showed. The figure came short of analysts' estimates.
The unadjusted index for final demand rose 3.2% for the 12 months ended in February. At the same time, the index for final demand services declined 0.2%.
PPI excluding food, energy, and trade services was up by 0.2% in February after advancing 0.3% in the previous month and increased 3.3% for the 12 months ended in January.
