US reportedly 'very concerned' about Israel's Rafah operation

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken (pictured left) told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (right) that the US is "very concerned" about Israel's plans to move their operation further into southern Gaza and the city of Rafah, near the Egyptian border, Axios reported on Wednesday.

According to Israeli sources, Blinken expressed concern that the operation will result in "mass casualties" if the civilians are not evacuated from the city, as well as an influx of refugees into Egypt. Blinken also allegedly raised the issue of of the "failures of communication" between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and international organizations, "international organizations."
