The United States reportedly ordered all of its troops in Niger to withdraw this week, a source told Politico on Friday.
Last month, the United States State Department shared that Washington and Niamey were discussing a possible exit of American troops from Niger, with talks underway about allowing some American combat troops to continue operating in the country.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin previously clarified that while both American and Russian forces share the same base in Niger, the Moscow troops do not have access to Washington's equipment.
