The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had resumed its humanitarian aid airdrops into the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
"The joint operation included one US Air Force C-130 aircraft. The US C-130 dropped more than 10 metric tons of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), providing life-saving humanitarian assistance in Northern Gaza," CENTCOM wrote in a post on X, adding that the US has airdropped more than 1,050 metric tons of aid thus far "in addition to the assistance delivered by the Joint Logistics Over the Sea (JLOTS) corridor."
The news comes after deputy CENTCOM commander Vice Admiral Brad Cooper said Friday that airdrops had been "suspended due to the kinetic operations happening in the north."
