The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it destroyed four uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) that the Houthi movement launched, while another one crashed into the Red Sea.
The agency added the organization fired two anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBM) that caused no casualties or material damage.
"It was determined these systems presented an imminent threat to US, coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region. This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition, and merchant vessels," CENTCOM concluded in a statement on social media.
