The United States Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on Tuesday that it updated the economically sanctioned individuals and entities linked to Iran's nuclear program.
Two Iranian individuals and six companies, including one from China and three from the United Arab Emirates, were added to the list.
The announcement came amid the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, with Washington threatening a potential armed response in case Iran does not adjust its nuclear program and Tehran promising a similar response if necessary.
