The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) executed defensive strikes, targeting two unmanned surface vessels (USV) and three mobile anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM) in northern Al Hudaydah, Yemen.
The US military identified these threats in Houthi-controlled zones and deemed them an imminent danger to US Navy ships and merchant vessels in the Red Sea.
"These actions will protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US Navy and merchant vessels," CENTCOM stated.
