United States goods and services trade deficit came in at $78.8 billion in July, expanding from a trade deficit of $73 billion in June, the country's Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis shared in a report on Wednesday.
Exports from the country in July amounted to $266.6 billion, growing by $1.3 billion or 0.5% compared to June, while imports to the country stood at $345.4 billion, up $7.1 billion or 2.1% from the previous month.
Year to date, the goods and services trade deficit rose by $36.2 billion or 7.7% on an annual basis, with exports adding $65.9 billion or 3.7% and imports gaining $102.1 billion or 4.5%.
