The trade deficit in the United States rose by 18% in December 2024 compared to November, reaching $122.1 billion, according to a report by the Census Bureau on Wednesday. Exports decreased by $7.8 billion month-on-month to $167.5 billion, while imports grew by $10.8 billion to $289.6 billion.
Wholesale inventories fell by 0.5% in December on a monthly basis, landing at $898 billion. Compared to December 2023, they lost 0.1%.
