United States National Security Council (NSC) Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby (pictured) urged on Wednesday Iran and North Korea not to get involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
Speaking at the Foreign Press Center, Kirby asked Pyongyang "not to deal a deal to kill more Ukrainians" by engaging in military transfers with Russia. He also underscored that Iran is "helping [Russian President Vladimir] Putin kill innocent people in Ukraine" by providing his country with drones. Kirby insisted that Moscow's alleged plans to forge a weapons deal with North Korea and Iran "speaks volumes of how desperate President Putin is to keep his war machine going."
Commenting on the US's relations with China, Kirby responded that "there is still a lot of work to do." "We still don't have the military-to-military line of communication open right now," he said.
