Total inventories of merchant wholesalers stood virtually unchanged in March versus the previous month at $918.5 billion, according to a report published by the Census Bureau on Monday. Year-over-year, total inventories plunged by 9.1%.
The sales of merchant wholesalers declined 2.1% versus February to land at $655.3 billion, while declining by 2.9% on a yearly basis. The inventories/sales ratio annually increased from 1.25 to 1.40 in March.
