Wholesale inventories in the United States observed a monthly rise of just 0.1% in December 2022 to come in at $932.9 billion, in line with expectations, the US Census Bureau said in its final report released on Wednesday.
Sales of merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers' sales branches and offices, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading-day differences but not for price changes came in at $687.8 billion rose by 0.5% compared to November's revised level and 7.3% in contrast with December 2021.
The inventories/sales ratio for merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers' sales branches and offices, reached 1.36, increasing from 1.24 registered in December 2021.
