United States envoy to the Conference on Disarmament Robert Wood said on Monday that his country has "concerns" about China's hypersonic weapons capability.
“We just don’t know how we can defend against that type of technology, neither does China or Russia,” Wood told reporters in reference to hypersonic missiles, which travel at extremely high speeds and could evade existing missile defence systems.
China has reportedly denied testing a hypersonic missile but claimed rather that it was a spacecraft.
