United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated on Monday that 20 countries have vowed to provide additional security aid packages to Ukraine.
"We fully understand what Ukraine is up against," Austin said to reporters during a press conference, adding that the "stakes of this war ... stretch far beyond Europe."
Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, who was also present at the briefing, explained that Pentagon has been able to re-establish army-to-army communication lines with Russia's armed forces, but refused to elaborate further.
