The United States Department of State's spokesperson Tammy Bryce confirmed on Tuesday that the upcoming meeting with Russia will not cover political and security issues between the two countries.

Speaking at a press conference, Bryce explained that the two delegations will discuss the work of respective embassies on one another's territory and the bilateral relations between Washington and Moscow.

Her comments echoed the statement the Russian Foreign Ministry put out previously. The summit between the two countries' teams will take place in Istanbul on Thursday.
