United States Under Secretary of Defence for Policy Colin Kahl claimed Russia's recent increase in missile attacks against Ukraine is partially intended to deplete Ukraine's air defense resources, the Guardian reported on Saturday.
"We know what the Russian theory of victory is, and we’re committed to making sure that’s not going to work by making sure that the Ukrainians get what they need to keep their air defenses viable," the official was quoted as saying.
On Tuesday, Moscow's troops fired a 96-missile barrage across Ukraine, the country's biggest aerial attack of the conflict so far.
