United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff is "going to the region," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce shared during a briefing on Tuesday, without giving a specific location.
Witkoff will be visiting the region with "a strong hope that we will come forward with another ceasefire as well as a humanitarian corridor for aid to flow, that both sides have in fact agreed to," she stated, referring to the situation in the Gaza Strip. "The humanitarian framework has got to ramp up and get better," she added.
Recently, world leaders condemned Israel for the way it handles humanitarian aid in Gaza. It was said that over 800 Palestinians have been killed while trying to access food and water.
