Raytheon Co. and United Technologies Corp. are currently in negotiations to merge in an all-stock agreement, the Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend.
Reportedly, the two companies, which have a combined market value of $166 billion, may announce a deal in the next few days if the talks do not fall apart, the newspaper said.
Greg Hayes, the United Technologies chair, is expected to lead the combined company, while his Raytheon counterpart Thomas Kennedy would be chairman, the person told the newspaper.
