Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics (pictured right) signed a bilateral agreement between the two countries, the former's chief advisor Andriy Yermak announced on Thursday on Telegram.
"According to the agreement, Latvia will provide military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 0.25% of GDP [gross domestic product] each year. In addition, Latvia undertakes a 10-year commitment to support Ukraine in cyber defense, demining, and unmanned technologies and certainly promotes our accession to the EU [European Union] and NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization]," Yermak wrote.
The signing came amid Zelensky's official visit to Riga.
