Ukraine adds Unilever to its list of war sponsors

The Ukrainian National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAZK) announced on Monday it added Unilever PLC to its lists of war sponsors as it found that the British consumer goods company failed to cease its operations in Russia as promised.

"After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the company promised to suspend all imports and exports of its products to and from Russia [...] but the enterprises in Omsk, Yekaterinburg, Saint Petersburg, and Tula continue their work," the NAZK said in a Telegram post.

"Unilever cannot oppose the war while simultaneously promoting [Russian President Vladimir] Putin's war machine," NAZK head Oleksandr Novikov commented. "Unilever must leave Russia now or history will remember its complicity in this war."
