The Ukrainian Air Force said on Tuesday that it destroyed 26 out of 38 Iranian-made Shahed drones that Russia launched toward the country overnight.
"The launches of 38 'Shahed-136/131' strike UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] from the south-eastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Cape Chauda - Crimea) were recorded," the Air Force stated in a Telegram post. "The forces and means of air defense of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, destroyed 26 attack UAVs 'Shahed-136/131'," it added and noted fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups were involved in shooting down the drones.
