The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 15 Russian missiles and 15 drones which were headed to Ukraine's capital Kiev during a massive attack on Monday, local authorities revealed.
Early in the morning, the Russian military launched a huge attack targeting 15 Ukrainian regions, and causing serious damage to some power and water supplies. As a result of the strike, at least three people have lost their lives, while almost 30 were wounded, according to Ukrainian officials.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky slammed Russia for "targeting critical civilian infrastructure." In a post on Telegram, he said that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin "is a sick creature," stressing that Putin "can only do what the world allows him to do." Zelensky also urged western countries to lift restrictions on Ukrainian use of western weapons. "America, Britain, France, and other partners have the power to help us stop terror. We need solutions," he concluded.
